after more than an actor Ernest Harden Jr his first Emmy on the Pitt think will stand the test of time world a little bit more compassionate. Oh, boy. Just being up here, it's just. I'd like to thank Noah Wyle for taking the time. He's my brother from another mother. He took the time to find out who I was, and decide to really do something about it by making an arc for Louie Cloverfield and I, lovely, called Noah's Ark. Harden won outstanding a drama series for playing Louis the lovable alcoholic who had become such a regular at Pittsburgh trauma that the doctors knew him as a frequent flyer. And that could have been the entire character. The drunk guy who keeps coming back to the ER. But the Pitt did something special with Louis because of Harden. The Pitt showed us dignity, showed us grace, the human being behind the addiction, the humor, the warmth, the relationships he built with these doctors. And season two's most devastating moments, Louis dies. But even his death is such a special episode because just before at Langdon himself, recovering from addiction, admits to Louis his medication that he stole the year before. For one brief moment, doctor and patient aren't really doctor and patient anymore. They're just two people fighting the same disease. And talk about the powerful impact of an amazing show and character. That's why Louis will stand the test of time. He reminded us that society sometimes dismiss people as another drunk or addict. They have stories, they have lives. They're people, they're human. And they've had families that loved them and they matter. And so 50 years into his career, Ernest Harton Junior finally has his damn Louis was the perfect character to win it all. Congrats Ernest, you deserve it. And back.
