Why it worked

The video leverages the 'scent community' trend and the scarcity principle, creating a sense of urgency and relatability for viewers who hunt for specific beauty products at discount retailers.

Summary

The creator visits a Marshalls store after seeing a follower's post about a restock of Sand+Fog fragrance oils. She documents the depleted shelves, finds one remaining bottle to purchase, and expresses relief that she was already nearby.

One of the ladies I follow posted this location, so I hopped in Stormi Jo and headed to Marshalls. Glad I was already in the area because BABY… she had 20+ droppers in her video, and within TWO hours? GONE! 😳 The scent sisters are definitely in these scent streets today on this good ol’ Labor Day! 😂💨 #PinkyUpp #MarshallsFinds #FragranceTok #LaborDay #BeautyFinds

Okay y'all, I had to come up here. One of the followers said they had a lot of scents. So crazy because I seen her earlier at a Marshalls close by me. I'm not going to say her name because some people don't like that. But yes. Thank you girl. Baby they cleared them out. All they have is Date Night, Whipped Latte, Maple Mornings, and Amber & Neroli. It is no way they took all them that fast. They have this one, Mimic in 152, and a slew of the rest of this stuff. But yeah, they wiped them out within two hours. I guess I'll be just leaving with this one. But a win is a win. Bag secured. Don't know where they went, but they're gone. I'm glad I was in the area at Trader Joe's, I would have been pissed.

Jackpot! Finally found the Elixir Peach Burst fragrance! #creatorsearchinsights
