No knife chicken & waffles Da baby's restaurant My personal opinion.

I think the no knife chicken and waffles discourse, the reason why people are going heavy in the comments is because I personally said that I felt like because the building was there, he's pouring back into the community and not a lot of rappers do that, right? And for those saying that he should have went to South end with those prices, I feel like if that's the case, culture should have went to the South end for those prices. But no, they wanted to stay localized. They wanted to stay in the community, they wanted to stay in an area that was more urbanized, right? But y'all want it to be white washed, which makes no sense to me. Like, I understand what's again, if you don't like the person, you don't like the person, and if you feel like, oh, I'm not gonna pay this, don't pay it. You know what I'm saying? But I would love to see North Greensboro street, like, come up from this. Like, I would love to see mom and pop shops be more known. Imagine so many rappers and producers and so many people in the music industry, in the entertainment industry come to this restaurant, come to this area. And so many people could get their names out there. That's all that I was saying. A lot of people say that Charlotte is on the map and the third, but there's so many parts of Charlotte that are not even seen or like, known for real, for real. Like you gotta actually be in the area to really know for real. But there are so many nice mom and pop shops that have been open for a very long time that should be noticed. And I feel like the community can be built in that area. If we're being for real. It's so funny because I didn't even know that the baby was there. I didn't even know where we was gonna go eat first. All I knew was that there's a new restaurant open and I wanted to support local. That was it. I wanted to support locally. But I just feel like a lot of people don't like him. And I understand that. I don't diss this man from a can of opinion. My thing is like, these are specialty waffles. This is not like a waffle house. And even when you order a specialty waffle at like waffle house or at there's a place that we go, wake up and eat, the prices change. The restaurant just opened up, Saturday, Sunday, and now it's Tuesday. So it's only been up for a couple of days. I feel like even in North area when culture had opened, they said the prices were too high, but that food was good. Like it's a mix of Caribbean and soul food. Like it's really, really good food, right? But a lot of people will say, oh, the price for the pizza is too high. The price for the shrimp and grits is too high. This is what it takes to build up a community that nobody wants around. Once again, the food was good. I highly recommend it. And yeah, that's my opinion on it.
