PlayStation Store users are being shown different sale prices for the same digital games through Sony’s dynamic A/B-pricing tests. In one recent example, a Canadian player reported seeing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for around $13 while logged out but approximately $23 after signing into their PlayStation account. Price tracker PSPrices previously found experimental pricing attached to more than 190 games across 70-plus regions, including titles such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The documented prices remain below the games’ standard retail prices, but different users may receive significantly different discounts. Sony has not publicly explained how users are selected, so claims that prices are specifically based on individual purchasing habits remain unconfirmed.
