call me crazy but my hot take is that I think two carats is plenty big I just got engaged showing my ring and what it looks like specs: - 2.12ct natural diamond - east-west pear - light butter yellow (not on the fancy scale) - yellow gold - size 4 because these types of videos were super helpful when my fiance and I were going through the design process so this is a 2.12 carat natural diamond it's an east west pear which I feel like you don't see as often but I absolutely love how it looks I feel like it's really chic and subtle some people might say it's too trendy but I personally think everything is trendy everything is gonna be dated to a time even a solitaire just based on the setting and other details to tell what era a ring is from and I think that's what's beautiful about this piece of jewelry that hopefully it does look dated and that your marriage stays intact for 50 years like it's from the 2020s what I love about this ring is that it's this really buttery light yellow color I have it on a yellow gold setting which further warms up the yellow diamond and again I have a size four finger and I feel like it's freaking massive like I don't have any other diamonds as big so two carrots is like huge to me so the biggest reason I went with an east west pear is because my fingers are quite long and I usually like to keep my nails pretty long so because of my finger size I wanted something that felt a little bit more substantial a north south setting on my hand I just didn't really love how they looked when I tried them on I meant secret pavé oops I feel like it just looks really organic I love that it feels classic because of the pear and the yellow gold but the east west orientation makes it feel a little bit more unexpected it was such a fun process making this with Roen and I'm just completely obsessed with it she is just absolutely perfect and yeah I love her
