Trust me, if you’re coming to Spain or moving here, these are five apps you need to download: 1️⃣ Free Now — my go-to taxi app. So many of you recommended it in the comments — I always prefer an actual taxi over a rideshare in Spain, and this makes it easy. 2️⃣ Citymapper — genuinely better than Google Maps for figuring out complicated metro/bus routes in bigger cities like Madrid or Barcelona. 3️⃣ Palteca — this is basically how you learned language as a baby, and it’s the same principle behind how a lot of polyglots actually learn and retain new languages. Instead of translating in your head, you’re just understanding through context. Worth downloading to brush up on your Spanish before heading to Spain. 4️⃣ Glovo — like Uber Eats or DoorDash, but local and way more popular here.
