Resource guarding. First things first massive shout out to Kobe's owners who travelled down to Blackpool from Scotland to get this work in. second thing.. I actually can't wait for a force free scammer to pipe up in the comments with an autobiography of their opinion, just for me to delete the comment and laugh at your inexperience. Management has it's place in dog training, but often the industry creates vastly too much of it. Nobody attempts to have the simplest conversation with dogs like Kobe.. Instead they wrap them up in management that skirts around the issue & empowers the dogs guarding tendancies. If everyone is treading on eggshells the dog notices that, it brings stress & anticipation and left alone for a long enough time, it'll lead to an attack. The only way the dog actually learns how to produce new outcomes around things like resources is to be taken into the resource guarding at its worst, then show the dog a new route out. Co-operation defeats resource guarding when executed well.. Positive reinforcement has literally no place at this stage with this dog.. The hard lessons about using aggression to alter outcomes HAS to be had for him to produce new outcomes that break his expectations. lots of work left to do, but a blazing start! tummy ticklers are gunna love this 🤣 . . . . . . #dogs #DogTraining #resourceguarding #spaniel #dogtrainer
