Rottie's that bite you when you touch them.. What do they need to learn? Well I'll start off by telling you want they don't need.. They don't need people screaming commands, cranking leads and falling out with them over mistakes. They need to understand the mechanism of trusting a stranger, they need to have all the conclusions they're jumping to squashed.. They need fairness, clarity & clear communication from the people around them.. They need to understand co-operative habits & teamwork as a concept.. They need to be accountable to the people attached to them.. They DO NOT EVER need to be characterised as a monster.. As a dog that will bite for no reason just because they're willing to bite. Kai's behaviour is as easy to read as a picture book for me and that isn't because I have a gift.. it's because I have spent years working with dogs and learning to talk to them in THEIR language... In effect I "speak dog" and using that second language I showed Kai that I wanted to be a friend.. Easy, not complicated and not a SINGLE piece of food used the entire week.. Almost like food reinforcement isn't a good thing for an animal trying to develop social skills and regulate the way he feels.. . . . . . . . #aggressivedog #rottweiler #rotties #dogtrainer #dogtrainers
