I took this video the night I posted the $3 wedding dress reel that ended up going viral. And I really think getting a glimpse into someone’s actual emotional experience is so important for real connection. We can recognize bits of ourselves in someone else’s vulnerability. So, this is me! . . . Two months ago, I started this page because I needed somewhere to create and express myself. I was making things, playing with clothes, and posting for a couple hundred followers… and then suddenly millions of people saw something I made, and bunch of you chose to stick around. I feel so grateful for and excited by that. 🤍 And then this morning, I flipped through an old journal and found an entry from 2023 where I wrote about only sharing my outfits with Close Friends on my private insta because posting them publicly felt so vulnerable. I was frustrated with myself for being scared to be seen and possibly judged. I wrote that I wanted “to challenge myself to share whatever I want and be perceived however I’m perceived” and to “let go of controlling the narrative”. Three years later, this feels like a pretty incredible full-circle moment. So hi to everyone who’s here now! 🥹 I’m really glad you are. 💜
