Happy Therapy Thursday and I know that you haven't heard that in a long time, but I also haven't had therapy in a long time. And over a month just because I've been traveling and our schedules have not aligned. And then coming back to her, I had a lot to tell her. I also got a new job offer and I'm moving to DC. So I threw a lot at her. For those of us in therapy, you know, finding a good therapist is not easy. It's like dating. You got to kiss a lot of frogs before you find the right one, the one that works for you, the one that makes sense. And two years ago, when I was looking for a therapist, going through everyone's bio, this one person, her bio stuck out to me and it was, she offered an array of different services to therapy, specifically EMDR therapy. And I reached out to her and we had like our 15 minute consultation and I told her my spiel that I had told countless other therapists. And she said to me, you don't need to talk anymore. You've talked enough. So I was like, okay, let me give it a try. I have nothing left to lose anymore. And in our first conversation, I knew that this was gonna be my girl. I never forget when we first started, she said after every session, I want you to take a video of yourself and just talk through what we talked through, purge, cry, laugh, whatever you need to do so that you can look back on these videos and see how far you've come. And I'm so incredibly grateful that she told me to do that because I still look back to this day and I look so much different. I feel completely different. I feel like I sound different. I'm lighter. I can't begin to tell you how much this lady has changed my life. Therapy is a journey. It isn't just something you need when things are going wrong. I truly think that she was for some of the best moments in my life and was able to support me through that. And the reason why I feel so comfortable and confident moving on to my next chapter has a lot to do with her and the tools that she has given me. And so I think that a good therapist is someone who is there to guide you through your storms, but also be there to love on you and support you through some of the brightest moments in your life. And she has been that for me. Wholeheartedly. I have taken away so much from therapy and it's not the end of my therapy journey. You know, we talked about that my therapy journey going forward is probably gonna look more so like, let's hone in on my strengths and how is it gonna help me elevate to the next level. I'll probably start that in six months or more going forward, which she really wants me to focus on is using the tools that we have learned and developed together as I navigate this new chapter, if I fail, how do I recover? When things go well, how do I celebrate myself? So on and so forth. So for those of you that are curious and are in the North Carolina area and are looking for a therapist, I am going to link her website in my bio. Her name is Miss Leticia. She is the sweetest, most wonderful human being and does amazing, amazing work. Please feel free to reach out to her. She's more than happy to add some new people to her roster. Nevertheless, this was such a beautiful journey and I'm so glad that I was vulnerable enough to share this with you all. I hope you all have appreciated. If you have any questions, let me know in the comments. Otherwise, I love you always. Bye.
