sat on whether I wanted to post so loudly about my ironman 70.3 results and world champs slot bc v honestly while I am very proud of myself for getting it done and giving it everything I had, there were many factors that made me feel like it wasn't "counted" and that I would get judged for celebrating this win (biggest one being there were only 3 people in my AG, the swim was shortened, and that many competitors didn't show up because of the rescheduled race date) and yes these are still very real considerations where maybe if I was a professional athlete gunning for rankings, points or other qualifications, of course it wouldn't have counted as a valid benchmark based on the shortened swim alone... but otherwise... a race is a race hor... 😅😄 i started this whole journey and shared on the internet how it was like from day 1 figuring everything out... so it didn't make sense to stop sharing just because I was scared of what others thought 🙏 that being said... I am so happy I've found a sport and lifestyle that makes me feel alive and excited to wake up every morning and I could be more eager for the year to come :') #ironman703 #ironman703worldchampionship #chattanoogatennessee #triathlon
