The interviewer challenged Kevin Reddington for relying on what the 11 jurors and the foreperson have said about the holdout juror. And Red immediately fired back: “Oh, so I guess we should just take that single one man’s opinion then, right?” Exactly. Because somehow we’re supposed to distrust the accounts of multiple jurors who were actually in that room… but give enormous weight to the ONE juror who held out? And now there’s even more context around that juror. Recent reporting says the holdout had a past domestic-violence charge and an active restraining order involving a family member during the Clancy trial. That does not automatically tell us whether his verdict position was right or wrong. But if you’re going to challenge Reddington for listening to the other 11 jurors? Then yes — people are going to ask why the lone holdout’s judgment should somehow be treated as untouchable. Especially when multiple jurors have publicly said he admitted reasonable doubt and still refused to vote NGRI.
