Nobody warned me that closing a long distance relationship would eventually turn into me standing silently in my kitchen watching Future Wifey build herself a snack empire. 😂❤️ Before Sely moved in, I bought a bunch of those OXO POP containers because I knew she’d love having everything organized. And apparently I created a monster. Today she has NO IDEA I’m recording her. She’s just standing there eating her chips, staring intensely into the cabinets and planning the future of our pantry like she’s designing a new subdivision. “Babe… we need more.” More?! We’ve already got containers filled with her chips, Cheetos, pecans, chocolates and all her other little snacks. 😂 But apparently we’re just getting started. We went to Costco today and found these awesome glass jars for around $20ish a set, and I literally told her while we were there: “We should probably buy another set.” Nope. We get home… Twenty minutes later: “Babe, we should’ve bought more of those.” I KNEW IT. 😂 Then she starts looking around the kitchen: “Can you move that?” Yep. “And move those over there?” Absolutely. “I want all my stuff together so I can see it.” Say less. 🫡😂 Next thing I know, I’m rearranging cabinets while she’s eating snacks and supervising the entire operation. And I’m standing behind her with the biggest stupid smile on my face because THIS is one of the parts of closing the distance that nobody really talks about. For so long, happiness was plane tickets, airport reunions, FaceTime calls and counting down the days until we could see each other again. Now? Sometimes happiness is watching the woman you love get ridiculously excited because all her Cheetos have matching containers. 😂 It’s learning her routines. Learning what makes a house feel like her home too. Making room for her things. Moving your things when she asks. Going to Costco together. Building little routines together. And apparently dedicating approximately 73% of your kitchen to Future Wifey’s snacks. And I freaking love it. So eventually I just told her: “Okay babe. Clearly you need more. We’ll get more containers… and then we’ll go to Coach and get that purse you wanted.” Her response? “Okay.” No hesitation whatsoever. 😂😂 Ladies, I’m starting to understand this. Apparently the formula is: Organized pantry + snacks + Coach = happy Future Wifey. The OXO POP containers we use are linked here if anyone else wants to create the same problem in their house: https://amzn.to/4h4INlK Fellas, learn the little things that make your woman happy. Sometimes it’s not the giant romantic gesture. Sometimes it’s just making space in your home until it starts feeling like our home. ❤️ I get a commission if you use the Amazon Link 😉 #FutureWifey #ClosingTheDistance #CouplesTikTok #HomeOrganization #RiseAndReclaim
