friendly reminder: “healthy” on the front doesn’t always tell the whole story 👀 I use FIG while grocery shopping to look past the marketing and quickly check ingredients based on what actually works for me. truly saves me from standing in the aisle reading every tiny label 😂 save this for your next grocery run + try FIG to make ingredient checking SO much easier 🛒💚@Fig #figapp #groceryshopping #ingredientcheck #healthyswaps #groceryfinds Starting with Oikos Triple Zero. These contain inulin and added sugar, which can cause gas and bloating for many people. I'd put this back on the shelf and grab a coconut yogurt instead. Next is Trubar. And as you can see on the Fig app, their ingredients list is super long and includes cane sugar, palm oil, sunflower lecithin, tapioca fiber, brown rice protein, cashews, organic pea protein crisps, organic pea protein isolate, organic pea starch, organic rice flour, calcium carbonate, freeze dried strawberries. Organic cane sugar, palm oil, natural flavors, sea salt, sunflower lecithin, cassava root flour. Sustainably sourced palm oil. The list goes on and on. Instead of these, I typically grab plant-based protein bars. Next is Boomchika Pop. Don't let the popcorn halo fool you. Just because it's low calorie doesn't mean that it's healthy. These actually contain seed oils, dairy ingredients, and added flavorings, which are known to cause bloat. Instead of Boomchika Pop, I would grab lesser evil. And then we have everybody's favorite Goodles. Unfortunately, the ingredient list is super long and contains wheat gluten, processed starches, dairy ingredients, and added fibers. Unless you want bloat, I wouldn't grab these.
