I work in biotech finance in Boston. Here is a day in my life. I feel like I just cannot catch a break recently, guys. If you're not up to speed with what's going on in my condo, you can just scroll a couple videos back on my page and they're there. This was the day that it all went down. Before I left the office today, I had to move some furniture. Keep these pictures in mind. This is what things looked like when I left. As you can see, I clearly have a ton of water damage in that wall because that's what happens when you have a roof that's been leaking for a year. Anyway, I drove into the office. I was not in the mood to take the train and wait outside in the rain. It was honestly a pretty normal workday. I knew that I had contractors coming over to my place, so that's why I went into the office. I didn't want to be disturbed by construction noises. I was told they needed to cut a hole in the wall to send pictures to insurance. I went on a little side quest this afternoon with our office manager to go view a space that we're having some upcoming meetings at. And then that's when I received this photo from my contractor at 7 PM while I was still in the office. And I was like, whoa, hold the phone. I thought we were recording like a small little section. I was really trying to stay calm. And then I received these pictures at 7 PM. While I was still in the office. And I'm telling you, my stomach just like dropped in that moment. I was like, you've got to be kidding me. My coping mechanism was just to keep working. And then at like 8 o'clock, it hit me that the valet had my car keys. The cherry end of my day is that all of the valet people in the parking lot are gone. So I don't know if I'm gonna get my keys. Fun. Luckily, I'm boys with all the security guards at my office, so they helped me get my keys. And then naturally, I cried on the drive home because I'm just so, like, emotionally drained and sick of dealing with this. This was the status when I got home. Absolutely horrible. I did throw myself a bit of a pity party and I called my loved ones and ranted to them. But after that, I jumped into action. And I decided I was gonna move my TV into my bedroom to cheer myself up because now it feels like a movie theater in here. And I stayed up way too late, just dissociating and I went to bed at 1:20 AM.
