Promoted product

Caribou Coffee

Why it worked

The video leverages a timely and relevant promotion tied to a local sports team (Minnesota Vikings), creating a sense of urgency and local appeal. The clear on-screen text and simple message make the offer easily understandable and shareable.

Summary

This video announces a "Buy One, Get One" (BOGO) drink promotion at Caribou Coffee. The promotion is triggered by the Minnesota Vikings intercepting the ball during a game, and customers can use the code BOGOBALL26 to redeem it the following Monday.

Structure

1Exterior shot of Caribou Coffee with "BOGO AT CARIBOU!" text overlay.
2Close-up of two drinks from Caribou Coffee.
3Text overlay displays the promo code "BOGOBALL26".
4Person holding up the two drinks, implying they were obtained through the promotion.

Product placement

Caribou Coffee (coffee shop chain) - ACTS - The video shows drinks purchased from Caribou Coffee and mentions a BOGO offer. Removing it would change the video's topic. Vikings (American football team) - APPEARS - Mentioned in the caption and context of the promotion. Removing it would not change the video's core message about the coffee promotion.
