In a lengthy social media statement, Macklemore addressed his removal and said he stands by his decision to speak out, while emphasizing the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza. The post drew a wave of support in the comments from celebrities including Alana Hadid, Greta Thunberg, Zara Larsson and Kehlani. Macklemore also said he, Sheeran and Pink were not the victims of the situation, writing: 'The victims are the Palestinian people.'
