Bluey
Why it worked
The video leverages the inherent cuteness of a pug and its playful interaction with a new toy, creating an engaging and relatable moment for pet owners.
Summary
A pug excitedly asks if its owner wants to see its new toy, then retrieves a Bluey plush toy. The video highlights that the toy is a blue dog with 13 squeezes and was purchased from Walmart.
Structure
- 1Dog asks about a new toy
- 2Dog retrieves the toy
- 3Dog shows off the Bluey toy
- 4Dog interacts with the toy
Product placement
Bluey: a blue dog toy that has 13 squeezes inside of it. It ACTS as a toy for the dog, and its result (being squeezed) is demonstrated. Removing it would change what happens in the video. Walmart: a store where the toy was purchased. It merely APPEARS as the place of purchase, and removing it would not change what happens in the video.
