I got turned away because I was wearing flip flops. Here is my honest review of Lucky Cat at Bishopsgate. Being turned away because I was wearing flip flops. So I dashed to New Look which was conveniently down the road. Bought new shoes and up we went. Up to join my little sister's 21st birthday meal. The vibe is so vibey up here, the music is so loud and the views are spectacular. We got taken to our table and we had some cocktails. I ordered the chiky, which I think is how you say it, which was absolutely delicious. And my sister got a margarita. We went for the brunch menu which is 60 pounds per person. This is the best idea as it means you get to try a little bit of everything. We loved the chef's selection sushi platter, it literally melted in your mouth. What really sold it to us was the boneless belly pork bao buns. We had to order two lots of them. And the GFC and the egg fried rice. The slow cooked egg and then they mix it up in front of you. It was really spicy and really nice. Also, part of the brunch menu, you can finish with the lucky lollies. Little ice creams which are super cute. But because it was my sister's birthday, we also got another little dessert. We ordered the viral chocolate cat, which was 40 pounds but big enough to feed seven of us. So it was all in all pretty good value for money. One thing that does really annoy me is that if I order a bottle of water, I want it on my table. The amount of bottles of water we ordered were just poured a little bit and then disappear with the rest of the bottle. I don't understand where the rest of my water went. But that is one bug bear that I have. I also to make it clear that you can't wear flip flops on the website. Thank you.
