POV: Four years ago today you queued 14 HOURS to see the Queen lying in state
And made national television next to the King
We got the train to London Bridge at 6am... early bird catches the worm
Slight problem... where is the start of the queue ?????
We kept walking and walking but it was endless
Finally found it all the way in BERMONDSEY
What do you mean we are miles from Westminster
Some helpful signage...
Little did we know what we were in for...
Made it to Shad Thames... 3 HOURS LATER
Ok it's been SIX HOURS and we are only at Tower Bridge
At Tower Bridge we were given wristbands so were able to go to Borough Market to get some food
Everywhere you looked people were queuing
Pose to pass the time
We made friends in the queue
EIGHT HOURS DOWN... it's starting to get to me now
I was a uni student so clearly had nothing else to do
This guy told us we might make it for the King's Vigil??
I didn't know what that was but turns out we could see the whole Royal Family?
12 HOURS DOWN sooooo close now
They gave us goody bags with food and drink... we were well looked after
We made it in and managed to spend 15 minutes inside Westminster Hall whilst the King's Vigil was broadcast to the nation
Look it's me and my mum and grandma
We came out and SO MANY PEOPLE we knew were sending us pictures of us on telly
14 hours queuing...
Such an amazing experience
