NAMANE
Why it worked
The video taps into the strong emotional connection fans have with K-pop groups, specifically NCT 127, by offering a tangible and personalized collectible (transportation card). The creator's relatable indecision and excitement add to the engagement.
Summary
The creator lands in Seoul and immediately goes to find a kiosk to purchase a custom NCT 127 themed transportation card. After some deliberation, she chooses a card featuring Taeyong.
Structure
- 1Arrives in Seoul, excited about NCT 127 transportation cards
- 2Locates the NAMANE kiosk
- 3Navigates the kiosk interface
- 4Debates between Johnny and Taeyong
- 5Selects and purchases the Taeyong card
Product placement
CU: a convenience store chain that sells various goods, including transportation cards. It appears as a storefront and its logo is visible. Removing it would not change what happens in the video.
NAMANE: a service that allows users to create custom transportation cards. Its interface is operated by the user, and it generates a physical product (the card). Removing it would fundamentally change what happens in the video.
