Wild looking back at this and being like oh yeah that was fine, but at the time I was in the trenches 😂 Here’s a bit of insight into how much goes into it and how the mural evolved over the LONG 14 days! I show you this process not to have a whinge but to demonstrate that not everything is as seamless as what I may make it look like. Nothing GREAT is. I literally can’t visualise things so I found this wall REALLY difficult to navigate in trying to imagine what it would/needed to look like. We did three or four trips to the paint store. All the colours we bought were wrong 😑 I sketched up for 3 hours only to paint over it and do it again. I was battling numbness in my hands and definitely cried multiple times. Plenty more battles that we won’t go into! 😂 All I want to say is you don’t have to have it all figured out. Every job as a muralist looks different. The challenges and the lessons learnt on these jobs are invaluable so it is worth every sleepless night, wrinkles that I acquire and the tears 😂 AND MOST importantly without @amandanewmanart and my team (Dad and Alessandra) I would have been completely f***. Super super grateful 🥲. Thank you. PHOTO REFERENCE CREDIT: Fernando Medina 1998
