🏎️💨 At 417 km/h, a Bugatti Chiron was covering more than one NFL football field every second. In July 2021, Czech businessman Radim Passer took his Bugatti Chiron onto Germany's A2 Autobahn between Berlin and Hannover and pushed it to an extraordinary 417 km/h (259 mph), according to the vehicle's GPS data. The speedometer reportedly showed around 414 km/h. Put that speed into perspective: ⚡ 417 km/h = 116 meters every second 🏈 That's roughly 1.05 NFL fields per second ⏱️ At that pace, one mile takes only about 8.6 seconds The car itself was built for extreme speed. The Chiron's 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 produces around 1,500 PS (1,479 hp) and 1,600 Nm of torque. With its high-speed configuration activated, the Chiron's electronic limit is around 420 km/h (261 mph). The A2 section used for the run had no general speed limit, although Germany's Autobahn still carries a recommended 130 km/h speed and drivers remain legally responsible for driving safely. The run sparked major controversy. German authorities investigated Passer over a possible “single-driver race” offense. After reviewing the circumstances, the Stendal Public Prosecutor's Office closed the investigation in April 2022 without bringing charges, finding insufficient grounds for prosecution. What's fascinating isn't just the number on the speedometer. At more than 400 km/h, aerodynamics, tire stability, drivetrain power, cooling and vehicle control become completely different engineering challenges. ⚠️ This was an exceptional professional high-speed test on a specific Autobahn section. It is not something to attempt on public roads. 💬 Would you trust a car enough to experience 417 km/h? 📷 This content is shared strictly for educational purposes. 📷 DM for credit or removal.
