🍕🧊 Freezer restock day is one of my favorite things we do around here and frozen pizzas are always on the list. Homemade freezer pizzas are one of the best things you can keep on hand. They bake up with a perfectly golden crust, bubbly cheese, and whatever toppings your family loves and they cost a fraction of the frozen pizzas you would grab from the store. The kind of dinner that feels like a treat but fits completely within the budget. 🍕 Once you have a stack of these in your freezer you will genuinely wonder why you ever paid store prices for the boxed version. They taste better, they are made with real ingredients, and pulling one out on a chaotic Wednesday night feels like the biggest win. Easy Freezer Pizzas Makes: 2 pizzas | Time: 1 hour Ingredients: 2 tsp active dry yeast 1 tsp sugar 1 cup warm water 3 Tbsp avocado / olive oil 2 tsp salt 2 ½ cups all purpose flour Directions: 1. In a large bowl (or stand mixer with dough hook), combine yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let stand for 3-4 minutes until yeast foams. 2. Add olive oil and salt to the yeast mixture and stir in most of the flour (reserve about ½ cup), until dough begins to come together. 3. If too wet, add remaining flour gradually, kneading between additions until dough forms a ball but still feels slightly sticky. If too dry, add a splash of water or olive oil and work it in. Knead for 3-5 minutes. 4. Cover dough with a tea towel and let rest for at least 10 minutes (up to an hour for more flavor development). 5. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and divide into 2 balls. 6. Preheat oven to 450°F. 7. Shape your dough into desired pizza size. 8. Par-bake the crusts (without any toppings) for 5-7 minutes, until they're just beginning to firm up but not yet browned. Remove from oven and let cool completely on a wire rack. 9. Once cooled, add your favorite sauce, cheese, and toppings to the par-baked crusts. 10. Wrap each assembled pizza tightly in plastic wrap, (i like to place them on THESE cardboard rounds) then place in a freezer bag or wrap in foil for extra protection. Freeze up to 2 months. When ready to bake: 1. Preheat oven to 475°F. 2. Remove plastic wrap from the frozen pizza (no need to thaw). 3. Place directly on a baking steel, stone, or baking sheet. 4. Bake for 12-18 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown. #freezerrestock #homemadekitchen #freezerpizza #mealprep #mindfulmothering
