Day 88 - Why 16,346 Days? Read more 👇 "Wear the stupid outfit, dance when nobody else does, say 'I love you' first, because one day you'll wish you'd been less afraid of looking ridiculous." That last part is the one that gets me every time. Nobody on their deathbed wishes they'd cared more about what the room thought of them. Wear the thing. Dance badly and visibly. Say it first, even if it's scary, especially if it's scary. Day 88. We're wired to think in years, and that's exactly where it goes wrong. A year feels endless, always another one waiting in reserve. A day doesn't give you that illusion. You either used it or you didn't. My dad's heart gave out too early. Both my grandfathers went early too. Add my own history with addiction into that mix, and this number stopped being a clever little calculation a long time ago. It's just my bloodline, looking back at me. So the math: average life expectancy sits around 80 years, roughly 29,200 days total. Subtract what I'd already lived by 35, and that's 16,433 to start. 88 days of posting later, that's 16,346 today. I'm a dad now too, and that's really what rewired everything. There's someone who needs me around in twenty years, and eventually stopped being a vague word. It has her face on it. Life of Jakob. Fitting, right? #hopecore #motivationalpost #Love #mementomori
