Why it worked

The video likely resonated due to its relatable and humorous storytelling about an unexpected social media interaction. The unexpected twist of being blocked and then unblocked by a stranger, coupled with the creator's expressive reaction, created an engaging narrative.

Summary

The creator recounts a funny interaction where a stranger complimented her and her friend, then asked if she posted on TikTok. When the stranger tried to follow her, she discovered she had been blocked by the stranger, who then apologized, unblocked her, and followed her. The creator and her friend found the situation amusing.

Structure

1Creator and friend at coffee shop
2Stranger approaches and compliments them
3Stranger asks to follow creator on TikTok
4Creator discovers she was blocked by the stranger
5Stranger apologizes, unblocks, and follows creator
6Creator and friend react with amusement

Product placement

La Vie Coffee: This is a coffee shop where the creator and her friend are sitting. It appears on the cup and is mentioned by the creator. Removing it would not change what happens in the video.
