‘It’s just my opinion’ okay well … it’s not ‘just’ that. It also perpetuates huge shame and stigma around an act an organ was literally designed to do. It’s an overtly cruel opinion to share on a public platform with influence online that contributes to women feeling obligated to isolate themselves in the home for huge periods postpartum. Something detrimental to both mental health and that mother’s recovery. And if being with your dad (who btw was probably ALSO BREASTFED) around breastfeeding makes you uncomfortable - that says miles more about how you view your dad and his views on women than the woman feeding her child. #sistersinthecity #breastfeeding #publicbfing #motherhood
