DAY 7 of trying to fix my rounded shoulders: thoracic extensions and scapular push-ups

Original caption

Day 7 of fixing my rounded shoulders! Today was thoracic extensions + scapular protraction push-ups. I noticed some scapular winging, so I focused on strengthening my serratus anterior, the muscle that helps keep your shoulder blade connected to your rib cage and moving well. Rounded shoulders aren’t just about one “tight” muscle or one “weak” muscle. It’s usually a combination of mobility, strength, positioning, and how you’re using your shoulders throughout the day. That’s why each video in this series has a different focus: strengthening, stretching, or mobility. A couple days ago, I focused on retraction work with band pull-aparts. Today, I’m working on the opposite side of that movement with protraction and serratus strength. Going to put together one mobility, one strength, and one stretch in one video once I find my favorite combo! #techneck #roundedshoulders #badposturefix #mobility #fyp
