My 5 years gf blamed me when her fathers phone got lost in their house.. Helen was a girl I met in Grade 9..we were so close till because of our friendship we became bf and gf and stayed together till we completed Grade 12.. On Helen’s small sister’s birthday I was invited.. So after work when the company truck dropped me at the roundabout I went straight to her family home.. Helen was in university so she brought her course mates.. I didn’t want to feel stupid since I only completed Grade 12 and never went as far as university so I remained in the kitchen and helped Helen’s mom prepare for the event while Helen entertained the guests with her dad and the birthday girl.. The fireplace had a power point where they boiled the jug so Helen’s dad’s iPhone 12 was charging there.. I had no idea.. I helped until Helen’s mom gave me my share.. I sat at the back and ate so fast and told Helen’s mom, “Please give my gift to Tarah, Helen’s small sister.” I bought her a PNG meri blouse for Independence celebration.. I wanted to stay longer but walking back to my street in the night wasn’t that safe so I got my toolbox since I was a mechanic, said bye to Helen’s mom and left.. I didn’t want to say bye to Helen because her university friends might see how simple I was so I left.. In the morning I woke up to 78 missed calls.. Helen called so I cancelled my work and went straight to their house.. Only to be scolded by her saying Dad’s phone got lost yesterday and only you were with Mom helping in the kitchen.. I stood there shocked.. My forever gf, the girl who knows everything about me, the girl who my family sees as my wife, was now blaming me for her dad’s phone.. I felt really ashamed because she was confident I got it.. I couldn’t talk.. Helen’s mom and dad didn’t say anything but Tarah told Helen to stop because she was swearing at me.. I just felt so ashamed like a naked man standing there.. I told Helen’s dad, “Saturday I’ll bring K2,000. If it’s less, I’ll bring another K1,000 two weeks later.” I hugged the mom, the dad and Tarah and left.. Later my parents helped me with the money and I returned it to Helen’s parents.. But from that day till now I never spoke again to Helen nor answered her calls or anything.. I lost my gf because she accused me of something I didn’t do.. Maybe because all her friends were university students, I was the only suspect.. But sorry Helen, you lost me when you blamed me for stealing your dad’s phone when all I did after my tiring job was help your mom prepare for the birthday.. Five years of love ended that day, not because I stopped loving you, but because I realized the person I trusted most didn’t trust me back.#fypシ #Relationship #lovestory
