Okay Gwinnett, I found another local spot I think y'all need to know about. And this time, they actually found me. After seeing one of my local reviews, Marcus, the owner of Parkside Nutrition, invited me and my daughter to come check out their Dacula location. And since this black-owned business could use a little more love from the community, you know I had to pull up. Parkside actually has locations in both Lawrenceville and Dacula, Georgia. And when I met Marcus, I got to learn a little more about his building. His vision for Parkside is bigger than just selling shakes and teas. He wanted to create a place in the community where people could grab something convenient that supports their goals without sacrificing flavor. And one thing Marcus made very clear to me was that if you order a shake that says salted caramel, strawberry cheesecake, or banana pudding, he wants it to actually taste like it. Okay Marcus, I heard you. So let's put that to the test. My daughter ordered the strawberry cheesecake protein shake, and I went with the salted caramel. Okay, now it's time to taste everything, y'all. Here is my daughter Melody. She is trying the strawberry cheesecake shake, and listen y'all, she absolutely loved it. Can't you see it all over her face? Okay now, now it's my turn. Y'all, this salted caramel was so good. I was literally licking it off my fingers and the cup. And what surprised me even more were the numbers. Their shakes have 24 to 27 grams of protein, they're between 200 and 250 calories, and they're low in sugar, carbs, and fat. And I can personally tell you, that shake had me full. Then I tried the Peach Pass with Sour Blue. It's a specialty drink and it was so good. Their tea menu lists these at just 24 calories with no sugar, and mine was refreshing and packed with flavor. And Parkside has over 150 different combinations, so trust me, you're going to have to make some decisions. Can't decide? Ask them about the kitchen sink. But hold on, because I wasn't finished. I also tried their chocolate chip banana nut bread and peanut butter truffle. And baby, listen, both were good. At this point, Marcus was just showing out. What I really enjoyed though was getting to meet the person behind the business. And look at Marcus back there whipping up all them shakes and teas himself. He was making our drinks, answering all my questions, telling me about the business, and still giving us top-tier customer service the entire time. You can tell he genuinely cares about what he's building and wants Parkside to be a part of the community. A place where you can stop in, grab something good, and keep your day moving. Parkside Nutrition location has been open for over a year and Marcus told me they would love to see more of the community coming through those doors. So Gwinnett, and especially my Dacula people, this is where we come in. Go show this local black-owned business some love. Stop by Parkside Nutrition, tell Marcus Quiana sent you, and then come back and tell me what you ordered. Because if I find a good Gwinnett spot, you already know I'm putting you on too. And be sure you're following me because over here, I show you how to maximize your experiences and not your expenses.
