If you associate luxury in the Middle East with Dubai, don’t overlook Oman. Oman can be just as luxurious — but in a completely different way. Think mountains, dramatic landscapes, beautiful resorts and a much slower pace. Here’s how I’d split 5 days ↓ DAYS 1–3 | AL HAJAR MOUNTAINS Rent a car in Muscat — driving in Oman was surprisingly easy — and head straight into the mountains. Give yourself 3 nights here to actually enjoy the property and the mountains rather than rushing through. DAYS 4–5 | MUSCAT Drive back to Muscat for two nights by the beach. STAY: 📍W Muscat @W Hotels Relax by the water, explore Muscat and enjoy a completely different side of Oman before heading home.
