The only buttermilk biscuit recipe you will ever need. 🧈✨ Tall, buttery, and soft inside with crisp, flaky edges. #easybiscuits #buttermilkbiscuits #homemadebiscuits #bakingfromscratch #howtomake biscuits like a pro Ingredients • 5 cups all-purpose flour • 3 tbsp baking powder • 2 tsp salt • 2 tbsp granulated sugar • 1 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed (ensure it is very cold by placing it in the freezer for 10 mins before using) • 2 cups cold buttermilk Instructions Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) so it is hot and ready. Whisk the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Using a box grater , grate the butter into the flour mixture. Use 2 forks to blend it until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Pour in the cold buttermilk. Stir gently with a wooden spoon just until a shaggy dough forms; avoid overmixing. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Pat it into a rectangle, fold it into thirds like a letter, and repeat two more times to create flaky layers. Pat the dough to about 3/4-inch thickness. Cut rounds with a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter (press straight down without twisting) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the tops are golden brown and fluffy. Enjoy warm!
