Divers exploring Turkey’s Lake Van have documented a vast stone wall and a circular structure more than 70 feet beneath the surface, raising questions about what may lie hidden on the lakebed. Researcher Matthew LaCroix believes the ruins could be part of a much larger settlement, saying: 'What we know of the underwater ruins may just be a tiny piece of something much larger.' LaCroix argues the structures could be at least 11,700 years old, potentially making them far older than established archaeological estimates. However, the site has not been definitively dated, and some archaeologists believe the remains may be from the Urartian period or the Middle Ages. Lake Van lies around 90 miles from Mount Ararat, a region associated in some interpretations with the biblical story of Noah’s Ark. There is no established evidence linking the underwater ruins to the Ark. #turkey #news #noahsark #bible #Science
