Hook
Welcome to episode one of why buy it when you can crochet it. I was recently deep cleaning and reorganizing my vanity and I wanted to get some of those little plastic organizers, but then I realized I could probably just crochet some myself. They turned out way cuter than I expected and you guys seem to really like them too, so I'm going to show you how you can make your own. First, we're starting by crocheting the bottom of the container. Start by chaining the length that you want your container to be and then just do rows of single crochet back and forth until the base is as big as you want. Next, you're going to do a row of single crochet all around the edge excluding the final row of single crochet that you just did for the base. Slip stitch to connect and then we're going to do another row of single crochet around, this time only crocheting into the front loop of the previous row. Slip stitch to connect and then just continue doing rows of single crochet around until you've reached your desired height. To finish, I added a row of slip stitches around the top so the opening wouldn't stretch and would hold its shape a little bit better. You might need to stretch and pull the sides a bit once you're finished to help them get into your desired shape. And that's it. I love how these turned out and I think they're so much cuter than anything I could have bought. Let me know what you think I should crochet instead of buying next.
