We'd like to take the time to tell you Bondi and her puppies' story, as it's a true example of rescue life and shows just how unpredictable things can be. Bondi arrived with us on the 5th of August. During her health check, she was given a pregnancy scan which confirmed that she was in pup. Just two days later, Bondi gave birth to 6 beautiful puppies. For the first two weeks, everything was going well and Bondi was the most amazing mum. But sadly, she then suffered complications which meant she needed life saving surgery. In order to keep Bondi safe, it was no longer possible for her to return to her puppies. This meant our staff had to step up and provide round the clock care for the 6 precious souls who still needed their mum. Our staff have been incredible over the last 7 weeks ano have truly given their all to ensure these puppies grow from strength to strength. This included waking throughout the night to check on the puppies and bottle feed them while they were still so young. Every single day, they have been cared for, loved and watched over by our incredible team. A huge thank you to Hannah, Zac and Tian, who always give their absolute best to our mums and their pups. Bondi has also made a full recovery and is now happily reserved for a home, while her beautiful puppies are now ready to find their forever families. We just wanted to take the time to say a huge thank you to everyone who continues to support us.
