Why it worked

The video leverages high-stakes emotional content from a major esports event, tapping into the audience's interest in competitive gaming drama.

Summary

The video shows a clip from the Fortnite Global Championship tournament where the team of Shxrk and T3eny narrowly lose the championship by two points. It displays the final results board of the competition.

Structure

1Close-up of a player looking distressed
2Wide shot of the tournament stage
3Display of the final results leaderboard

Product placement

Fortnite (a) it ACTS — the game interface and tournament results are displayed as the primary content of the video. Removing it would change the video entirely as it is the subject of the tournament.
