So, dumplings and rice has been my newest hyperfixation and it's about to become yours too. Typically when I'm at work, I just throw the dumplings in the microwave, but since I was at home, I decided to fry them. I have no idea why I was just tossing these dumplings in the oil like I wasn't going to get burned, but don't do that. I let them fry for about 7 to 8 minutes on one side and then I covered it with a lid and I flipped it. I did have the burner on a medium-low heat, so 7 to 8 minutes wasn't too long for me. After allowing it to cook for another 7 to 8 minutes on the other side, I took it out and put it on a piece of newspaper so the oil could drain. Now, this sticky rice is my favorite sticky rice that I get from Publix. You just microwave it for 2 minutes and it's good to go. It's so freaking good. One of the reasons that I love this meal is because the rice is only $2.89 and the big bag of wontons are only like $5 and some change from Walmart. So, essentially this is less than 10 bucks. I added some red chili crisp, some coconut aminos, you can add soy sauce, and then I just put the type of sauces that I like, Japanese barbecue sauce, sriracha mayo, and Buldak hot sauce for a little bit of spice. It's so quick and simple to make. My son loves making it at home when he's hungry when I'm at work. Try these combinations out and let me know if you liked it.
