🍴 MJ REVIEWS: MIL AMORES, ANDREWS, TX 🇲🇽 I finally stopped by Mil Amores in Andrews, TX, and here’s my honest experience. We started with chips, salsa & queso. The chips were fresh, the queso was good, and the salsa had a heavy tomato base with roasted chile flavor that came through after a few bites. Not spicy, but definitely flavorful. 🌶️🍅 I ordered the Choripollo. Very well played and presentable but….Unfortunately, for my taste, it was lacking flavor. The rice was good, but the beans weren’t my favorite. The flour tortillas were my fault I should’ve asked for corn but even with that, the Choripollo itself just needed more flavor. BUT THAT MANGO CHEESECAKE… 🔥🥭 That was phenomenal. Very mango-forward, fruity, refreshing and flavorful. Definitely one of my favorite parts of the meal. My wife ordered the Tres Amigos, and our table had mixed reactions to the food overall. The tres leches did get some good feedback. I also want to shout out the service. Our server took great care of our party of 9, and the restaurant and restrooms were clean and well maintained. 🙌🏼 💰 And the price? I paid for everybody, and the entire bill was $226 for 9 people roughly $25 per person before tip. Honestly, I didn’t think that was bad at all. As far as authentic Mexican flavor, I personally think there’s still room for improvement. But that’s just my first experience and my honest opinion. Would I come back? Absolutely.
