Khichdi Puree for Babies 👶🏻🥣 A simple, wholesome khichdi puree that Harnidh absolutely loved! ❤️ 📝 Ingredients * 1 tbsp rice * 1 tbsp moong dal * ½ carrot, finely chopped * ½ tbsp ghee * 3–4 cumin seeds * Less than 1 tsp hing * A pinch of turmeric powder * ¾ cup water * 1 tbsp roasted oats powder 👩🏻🍳 Procedure 1. Wash the rice and moong dal properly and soak them for 10–15 minutes. 2. Heat ½ tbsp ghee in a pressure cooker. Add 3–4 cumin seeds, a little hing, and a pinch of turmeric powder. Stir well. 3. Add the chopped carrot and sauté for a little while. 4. Add the soaked rice and moong dal and mix everything well. 5. Add ¾ cup water, close the pressure cooker, and cook until the rice, dal and carrot are completely soft. 6. Once cooked, add 1 tbsp of roasted oats powder. For the oats powder, I had roasted the oats beforehand, ground them into a fine powder, and stored them for later use. 7. Mix everything really well so the oats powder combines smoothly and doesn’t form lumps. 8. Blend everything into a smooth, baby-friendly puree. 9. Let it cool to a suitable temperature and serve. 🥣👶🏻❤️ Save this recipe for your baby’s mealtime! 💾
