telling my client something's abus!ve as a therapist
Transcript
I'm a therapist and I will always tell my client, I'll use my clinical judgement. I will always tell my client if something is abusive. I'm not sugarcoating it. I'm not going to be another person in their life telling them that it's fine. I'm going to say, hey, that sounds abusive. I think it's actually really important to provide language and again, do it in a clinically appropriate way. But there are some things that like, yes, it is intense language and we need to use the intense language because it is an intense thing that has happened to you. So yeah, I'm going to say the word abuse and I'm going to call it abuse.
