One year ago today, I brought home the most incredible foster dog l've ever had the pleasure of saving. Happy one year rescueversary, Siggi 🥹❤️ After a full morning of volunteering, Caitie and | learned that this sweet, at risk mama and her four babies had one day to be rescued. We didn't hesitate and drove straight to BARC to tag, meet, and potentially pull her. As soon as I laid eyes on her, ! knew we wouldn't be leaving without her. Siggi was (and is) a perfect angel with so much love to give, and was an amazing mama to her four babies, who I named Chobani, Dannon, Yoplait, and Gogurt. All four of her babies were adopted last year, but Siggi had a harder time finding placement. She's older, she's a bully breed, she had so many health scares, and she is pickier with other dogs. But all that waiting, and all that love in the meantime, opened up the door for what seems to be the most incredible fit for her. I can't wait to share more with you all about Siggi's final chapter in her long journey, and I am so thankful for all of you. Thank you all for loving her and for being so invested in her story.
