“Well… that’s definitely NOT supposed to happen 😳💨” This customer was driving when suddenly he heard a VERY loud noise from the engine bay, followed by smoke. He immediately pulled over at a gas station in Suisun City, CA and called us for emergency mobile assistance. When we arrived, we found the problem pretty quickly: the A/C compressor had completely locked up. The compressor pulley was no longer able to rotate properly, causing the serpentine belt to drag against it, creating the loud noise, friction, heat, and eventually SMOKE. 🔥 Since the customer wasn’t from the area and didn’t have the time or budget to replace the compressor and related parts right there, the priority became simple: find a temporary solution to get him back on the road.
