Day one of sharing a week's worth of DIY skincare because you do not need 10 steps for healthy skin. This rice paper is what helps my skin stay tight, bright, plump, and hydrated all day long. And if you're new here, hey, I'm Dani. Two years ago, I taught myself how to DIY skincare so that I can save some money. Fast forward to now, I make about 90% of my own skincare products using simple ingredients and most of them only take 10 minutes. Now, I know I say this all the time, but this really might be my favorite DIY because there's just so many ways to stretch the benefits, it's actually wild. But even better, it's super cheap. I've spent less than $10 in the last year for this one. And it's only two ingredients, which is just rice paper and water. But you already know I'm going to be extra, so instead of water, I'm going to be using this herbal mixture that I made earlier this year. In the past, I've done flaxseed gel for this mask, you can do milk, I mean the options really are endless, but all you really need is water. Then I just cut the rice paper into pieces to fit my face, soak it in the liquid until it becomes soft and translucent, and then you just put it on your face and let it sit anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. I usually do about 15. And this is where all the magic happens and why this works. The softened rice paper leaves behind this film that basically holds all of the moisture in your face. This is what helps your skin look hydrated, firm, and glowy all damn day. Girl, this is spa level care without the price tag and I want you to have the best skin of your life. So if you like simple DIYs that's going to help you save money and glow your skin, follow along. Tomorrow's recipe is all about the skin oil that helped me clear my hyperpigmentation.
