Target Circle

Why it worked

The video uses a relatable, high-energy 'husband vs. wife' challenge format to naturally integrate a promotional event, making the sales pitch feel like part of the entertainment.

Summary

A couple competes in a shopping challenge at Target to find the best fall items during the Target Circle Deal Days event. The video highlights the savings available to Target Circle members.

Structure

1Introduction of the shopping challenge
2Round 1: Comparing Halloween decor
3Round 2: Comparing home goods and mentioning the discount
4Round 3: Comparing clothing items
5Conclusion and call to action to join Target Circle

Product placement

Target (a) acts: the store is the location for the shopping challenge, and the video demonstrates the Target Circle loyalty program's discount benefits. Removing it would change the entire premise of the video.
