Why it worked

The video succeeds by tapping into a highly relatable 'day-in-the-life' narrative centered on a common, high-stakes social anxiety: a beauty mishap right before a major event.

Summary

The creator documents a stressful day where her hair appointment is cancelled, forcing her to find a last-minute alternative before attending a concert. She uses Uber for transportation and a DJI Osmo Pocket to film her vlog throughout the process.

Structure

1Creator complains about a cancelled hair appointment
2Creator expresses frustration about the lost booking fee
3Creator shows her travel via Uber
4Creator films herself with a DJI Osmo Pocket
5Creator finds a new salon to get her hair done before the concert

Product placement

Uber: (a) ACTS — the interface is operated to book a ride, and the app's map and driver details are shown. Removing it would change the video as it documents the creator's travel to the hair appointment. DJI Osmo Pocket: (a) ACTS — the creator holds and uses the camera to film her vlog. Removing it would change the video as it is the primary filming tool shown.
