AI isn’t replacing investing research in Australia — but it can make the process a lot faster. 🇦🇺🤖 When I’m looking at the Australian market, I don’t start by asking AI to “pick me a stock.” I start much higher up. First, I want context: what’s happening across the ASX 200, how Australia is tracking compared with overseas markets, and what local factors like the RBA cash rate, inflation and economic conditions are doing. Then I look at where momentum is building across different ASX sectors. 📊 Only after that do I narrow things down into companies that may be worth researching further. That’s the part I think people miss with AI. The best use of tools like Claude isn’t blindly following an answer — it’s using AI to organise information, compare data and dramatically speed up the research process. My workflow is basically: 🌦️ Understand the market environment
🔄 Analyse sector performance and rotation
🔎 Build a shortlist for deeper research
🧠 Then verify the information myself before making any decisions It turns hours of initial research into something I can work through much faster. And importantly, an AI-generated shortlist isn’t a recommendation to buy anything. Markets move, AI can make mistakes, and there’s still plenty of research that needs to happen outside the prompt. #sydney #australia #australian #aussie
