Why it worked

The video leverages the relatable, high-engagement format of a family holiday tradition to naturally integrate a product recommendation, making the sales pitch feel like a helpful tip rather than an overt advertisement.

Summary

A family showcases their matching Christmas pajamas from PatPat, highlighting features like the prints, pockets, and included socks. The creator encourages viewers to purchase them through the TikTok shop link before sizes sell out.

Product placement

(a) PatPat: The creator explicitly names the brand, states it is where the pajamas are from, demonstrates the product (pajamas) by showing the print, pockets, and drawstring, and provides a link to purchase. The product ACTS as the subject of the video. Removing the brand name would make the video a generic pajama showcase, but the specific brand is the focus of the recommendation.

Transcript

It's almost Christmas! These are matching Christmas jammies and these are from PatPat here on TikTok shop. I'll put the link right here. They have infant sizes. We love our PatPat Christmas jammies. We've had them since she was a baby. We get a new pair every single Christmas. They're so cute. They come with matching Christmas socks with every pair that you order. And these ones have pockets, a little drawstring, and they're jogger style, which is so fun. And the prints are seriously so cute. There's like hot chocolate, snowman, a little Christmas tree. I don't know if you would, I guess, deem that coffee. Anyway, they're really cute and they're so comfy. So I'll put the link right here. Go grab them before your sizes sell out because as we get closer to Christmas, the common sizes do start to sell out. So go check out early.

We grabbed our matching Christmas jammies early because last year they sold out
