Cheap shit from Ulta that works better than luxury for 50+ skin that actually works for women over 50. Rapid fire dupe edition. Let's go. For context, I'm a makeup artist who has worked in TV and with singers, so trust me on these. Instead of Lancome Lash Idole at $30, grab Maybelline Sky High for $13. They share 93% of the same ingredients. Same lift, same length, even on thin short lashes, and it's $17 cheaper. If your brows got thinner with age, you don't need the Anastasia Brow Wiz. The NYX Micro Brow pencil has the same tiny tip, same spoolie too. You draw little hair strokes and no one can tell. It's $12, not $26. Instead of Milk Makeup Hydro Grip at $38, try the e.l.f. Power Grip Primer. Both have hyaluronic acid, both hold your makeup all day. My tip for dryer skin, put your moisturizer on first, then the primer, and it's only $11. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is a classic for a reason, but it's $36. The Maybelline Instant Age Rewind covers dark circles just as well for $13. Use a thin layer and it won't sit in your fine lines. Charlotte Tilbury's Flawless Filter gives the most beautiful, but it's $50. The e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter is $15. Use a thin layer and go one shade lighter. Your skin looks lit from the inside, not greasy. I'll be honest, the Charlotte Tilbury Blush Wand blends a little easier, but the e.l.f. Halo Glow Blush Wand is $10, not $44. And on mature skin, a creamy blush always looks fresher than powder. Love the Dior Lip Glow Oil, try the e.l.f. Glow Reviver Lip Oil. Same glossy shine, not sticky. $9 instead of 42. Okay, but I saved the best dupe for last, foundation. After 50, most foundations work against you. Your skin gets drier, foundation sinks into your lines, and the shade turns orange by noon. La Mer's Soft Fluid Foundation is gorgeous, truly it's one of the best out there, but it's $150. So I compared the labels. Luxe's color changing foundation has almost the same base, same silky silicone, same pigments. It goes on white and melts into your skin tone in a couple of minutes. It feels like silk and is made to stay out of your fine lines. Women in their 50s and 60s are raving about it. It does the same job for way less. If you wanna give it a try, I don't think you'll regret it. But it sells out fast, so go grab it. It's way cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else. Search LUX or click the link in my bio. And if you're watching on Facebook, the link will be in the comments.
