Can we talk about the absolute audacity of discovering your sexual awakening at forty? Because excuse me, I thought we were supposed to be winding down by now. Getting sensible. Buying practical underwear. Developing an enthusiasm for garden centres. Although, to be fair, I fucking love a garden centre. But here I am, feeling more interested in my body, my sexuality and my own pleasure than I have in years. And the really surprising part? It’s not because my body has suddenly become smaller, younger or more conventionally attractive. It’s the same body. The one that’s carried me through forty years of life.
