Bollywood actor Imran Khan showed up to a protest in Mumbai and ended up in a police vehicle. Khan was among around 600 people detained in Mumbai on Oct. 10 as authorities moved to stop demonstrations led by the Cockroach Janta Party, or CJP. The movement is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over a nationwide voter list revision that has removed more than 130 million names. Critics allege eligible voters – particularly opposition and minority voters – have also been removed in a process that benefits Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP.
